Established Family Business

G Morris and Son was established in 1926 by George Sidney Morris after he was given a pony, cart and harness and a £14 endowment policy. He travelled the country buying and selling chickens, rabbits and game, and was soon able to rent a stall on Norwich market.

George purchased Tower House on Cotman Road in Norwich in the late 1930s and it was there he started to process the chickens and rabbits that he bought, before sending them daily to sell at Smithfield Market.

When George noticed a niche in the market for cooked poultry, the company developed into the thriving business that it is today, currently being run by Jill, George's wife, and their three children, Gregory, Simon and Gina. The company has grown substantially in the past 25 years, investing in a modern, purpose built 10,000 square feet, EC approved factory producing cooked chicken portions, on the Livestock Market site in Norwich.

We deliver our products nationwide to frozen food wholesalers and locally to butchers, fish and chip shops and pubs, offering our range of cooked chicken products as well as other frozen foods.  We produce only high quality poultry, with no additives, at competitive prices.
