George Morris bought the butchers shop on Witard Road in 1966. Since then the shop has always offered top quality meats for sale at affordable prices and whilst quality, service and hygiene have been always paramount, since joining the prestigious 'Q Guild' in 1997, inspections are carried out on a regular basis, so you can be sure that you will always find high quality meat and customer service when you come to us.

G. Morris Butchers is part of George Morris and Son and has been established for over 80 years, supplying wholesale and retail businesses throughout the country. We provide a vast range of products from our frozen food and cooked poultry range, which means that our customers have an excellent number of products to choose from. All food products of this nature are produced in our EEC approved factory.

Over the years the meat industry has undergone a considerable amount of change. G. Morris Butchers has changed and evolved with it; still buying our meat from local abattoirs whilst developing our own recipes, over the last 8 years, for further processed meats including sausages and burgers. We have always cooked our own hams and roast pork and have expanded this to our own range of cooked products such as meat and fruit pies. The meat pies come in 4 different sizes with the fruit pies coming in 2 different sizes. Additionally, for the past four years we have been spit roasting our chickens.
